An Ode to Two17 Day!

Today is an exciting day for us — it's our namesake day & my birthday!

Two17 Marketing opened its doors in August of 2017 & it’s been one of the best career steps I have ever taken. As time goes by & I learn more about myself & marketing, I have come to deeply embrace my age & my place on earth. The name Two17 all began with my husband, Keith, asking me one simple question when we were trying to name our new venture — “What makes you unique?”

I’ve asked clients this a hundred thousand times during the course of my career. Yet, when focusing on what makes me unique to create my own brand voice, that suddenly became a seriously deeper question. Lesson learned: It's easier to market someone else than yourself. True story!

So here is my answer...my story….my brand.

I love staying fluid, innovative, finding peace with a products place in their own market, finding the customer’s love for a brand & creating happiness in helping my clients reach their goals. It’s uber cool to see the joy in their eyes when they feel the success of their messaging in action!

My birthday is February 17th...Two17...I am an Aquarius. This is my brand. Without sounding too much like a total hippie here, Wikipedia shares that “Traditionally, Aquarius is associated with electricity, computers, flight, freedom, humanitarianism, idealism, modernization, astrology, nervous disorders, rebellion, nonconformity, philanthropy, veracity, perseverance, humanity...”

But the definition of Two17, the Aquarian, resonated with me. Ok...so maybe, not so much the nervous disorder part, as I’m a pretty calm person, ha! We are a small group of marketing lovers who believe in idealism, technology, innovation, humanitarianism, &, we are a little rebellious too...we love to have freedom to express creativity. Something that should be celebrated by us all.

Today we celebrate our namesake & I wanted to share this story in the spirit of marketing & finding love & peace in our work! We encourage you find what makes you unique & embrace that gem.

So, if you haven’t had to answer this for your business yet… maybe Two17 is a good day to give it some thought… Until then, I wish you a very happy Two17 Day!

Happy marketing!

Christie
